Volunteer Highlight: Tommy Schrock

What difference can you make? You would be surprised. Being an influential force in someone’s life is simple as being there, ears active and heart open. The men and women needing your influence are on our campuses right now.

Tommy Schrock, a four-year volunteer at The Foundry, knows how powerful volunteering can be.

“You have a front-row seat to see the life-transforming work of the Holy Spirit in the lives of men through the ministry of the Word. It is one of the greatest joys of my life.”

We are called to be the hands of feet of Jesus. His instruments for creating change in the world.

“Jesus has given us both a command and a passion for making disciples. The Foundry is the perfect place to live that out.”

Our Life-Change Programs are more than curriculum and procedures. It’s the moment you encounter your Savior. For a participant, their encounter with Jesus could be His reflection in you.

Whether it’s a letter of encouragement, words over a meal, or weekly mentorship, volunteering at The Foundry is an opportunity to be the change we want to see in the world. A chance to exercise your faith.

“My greatest moment at The Foundry? Seeing dozens of men come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.”

You then, my child, be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus, 2 and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also. 2 Timothy 2:1-2
