As children we learned and sang this song, believing the lyrics to be true with all our childlike faith. Then we grew up and life took over; a few of us clung to that belief, but many of us forgot, or just stopped believing in God’s love.
The men and women who walk through our doors are all looking for the same thing: Love, hope, grace and peace. With your prayer and support, they are able to learn and see firsthand just how much God truly loves them through the love letter He left all of us – The Bible.
There are numerous verses in God’s word on love, too many to count, really. But throughout His love letter we read His love is infinite, unending, faithful, perfect, strong, forgiving, full, pure, everlasting, redeeming, gracious, merciful; the list goes on and on.
How do we know We are loved? The Bible tells us so.
Papa, thank you for your amazing unending love. Wrap your arms around us all like a warm fuzzy blanket and let us experience your love in a real way. Squeeze us tightly Papa, because every good hug ends with a tight squeeze. Help us to always remember how deep, how wide, how long and how high your love is for us. Help us to always come to you with the heart of a child. In Jesus name. Amen.
